🧸The Cream I Had to Make: Because His Tears Were Mine Too
Some products I plan.
Others… I just have to make.
My grandson had one of the worst cases of diaper rash I’ve ever seen. Red, raw, uncomfortable—and worst of all, it was breaking his heart and mine right along with it. As a maker and a grandma, I couldn’t just sit by and wait for it to “clear up.” I needed to do something. Something gentle. Something real.
So I did what I always do when someone I love is hurting—I went to my workspace, pulled out my ingredients, and started creating with care.
The main ingredient? Coconut oil.
It’s known for being soothing and rich, and I’ve trusted it for years in my soaps and salves. It's not fancy. It's not new. But it’s good. And when you’re trying to bring comfort to someone that small and precious, that’s what matters.

Some of the things I make come from grief. Others come from memory.
This one? This one came from watching my grandkids come in from playing outside, scratching like crazy and looking miserable.
